Job Spec & Duties

•    To manage a client portfolio as allocated by the Audit Partner, including audits, independent reviews, valuations and other ad-hoc assignments
•    Supervise the development of Trainee Accountants and manage day to day activities of the Audit department
•    Implement all policies and procedures developed by the firm

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•    Technically competent i.e. knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, IT systems, tax and other relevant Acts
•    Strong strategic thinking ability and problem solving skills
•    Ability to adapt to different situations easily, to think out of the box and to take ownership of work responsibilities
•    Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure
•    Good presentation, communication, delegation and motivational skills
•    Good training, coaching and interpersonal skills
•    Strong client relationship skills and ability to manage time and deadlines

Personal Qualities

•    Strong principle-centered leadership ability
•    High standards with regards to quality of work
•    Strong sense of integrity

Experience

•    International Financial reporting standards (IFRS) and IFRS for SME’s
•    Audit of listed entities and well as medium sized entities in the private sector. 

Other requirements

•    A long-term interest in the audit profession
