Financial model reviews

Keeping the future in focus

Financial modelling provides the foundation for structural business change, and is an integral process behind every significant commercial deal. The financial model often forms the basic tool through which management makes its strategic business decisions.

Unfortunately, owing to poor financial modelling techniques, the majority of financial models contain potentially costly errors. We review financial models to assist you in your strategic decision-making process.

We subscribe to international financial modelling best practice standards and, when appropriate, we will share our best practice know-how with your transaction team.

Moore Stephens corporate finance offers financial model review services at three levels:

Level I

A comprehensive report focusing on a model’s technical integrity that relies largely on our own model review software. Our software can find potentially serious technical anomalies that other, less sophisticated model processing software is likely to miss.

Level II

An experienced finance professional will moderate a model review discussion among key members of your project/business team with a view to addressing key issues, such as:

  • Are the contracts and financing agreements properly reflected?
  • Are the input assumptions reasonable?
  • Do the financial statements make sense?

Level III

As the one of the world’s top ten international organisations of accountants and business advisers, Moore Stephens offers complete line-by-line model reviews, including tax and accounting opinion letters to support bank or private equity financing requirements.
