Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1999 after serving articles at Bush Kohlberg (now Moore Stephens Cape Town), having completed his undergraduate and Honours degrees at the University of South Africa (UNISA). After a 2 year stint in London, Richard returned to Cape Town and took up roles in the financial services industry, spending 6 years at Allan Gray Ltd and 8 years at Macquarie Securities South Africa Ltd. Before joining Moore Stephens Cape Town as a director in September 2018, he ran his own accounting and tax practice for 2 years. Richard specialises in assisting individuals and owner managed businesses in all their accounting and tax requirements across all industries and aims at improving efficiencies and lowering costs using the latest technology.
