Focused on Insurance

Insurance companies are at the dawn of a new era where managing risk and capital, driven by risk-based regulations, is not only becoming mandatory but vital for the lifeline of individual firms competing in an ever-changing risk and regulatory environment. Today’s insurance executives face a daunting array of risk information arising from volatile financial markets, regulatory changes, weather and environmental impacts, technology updates, global skilled resource shifts and other changes.
We believe that understanding risk quantitatively and qualitatively should not be the sole domain of a select few working in the ‘engine rooms’, but a core capability of all insurance management teams.

Our advisory service is thus aimed at assisting management to answer and appreciate the following questions

  • How do we meet our strategic goals as insurance firms, whilst remaining true to our core business activity of taking on risks?
  • How do we manage our financial stability and profitability in line with our aims of sound risk and capital management?

Actuarial Services

Moore Stephens provides a full spectrum of actuarial advice and support, which incorporates advanced business practices and market leading technology, to deliver a range of actuarial and analytical solutions encompassing all areas ranging from pricing to reserving to business planning, forecasting and stochastic modelling, and capital and financial modelling.

Corporate Governance

Insurance businesses are increasingly required to demonstrate effective corporate governance to meet the high expectations of all their stakeholders and to comply with best practices and regulation.  We provide ongoing and discrete support, helping clients to establish and maintain the corporate governance and risk management frameworks and processes they need.

Internal Audit

A critical element of good corporate governance is ensuring that procedures and controls are operating effectively across all operations.  Internal audit provides assurance and identifies areas of improvement within key operations of the business, empowering management to enhance performance.

Regulatory Compliance

Our regulatory and compliance experts help clients with applications for authorisation or varying of permissions, supervisory issues, prudential matters, regulatory reporting and ad-hoc requirements.

Risk and Capital

Risk management is central to the insurance world. Businesses need to have effective structures and systems to manage risks which align to business objectives and strategies and are embedded in the organisation. Our team of experts work with you to design and implement the required processes and advise on the impact on your capital requirements.
